Supervision available in areas of staff interest; research areas include: Access to justice; arbitration and alternative dispute resolution; comparative law; discrimination; European law; human rights; law enforcement; legal education; legal practice and the legal profession; legal services; legal skills; legislative studies and legislative drafting.
Applicants normally require a Master's degree of a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a subject appropriate to the programme; applicants whose 1st language is not English are required to provide recent evidence of proficiency in the English language.
The School of Advanced Study (University of London) is a partner institution of the London Arts and Humanities Partnership (LAHP) together with King�s College London and UCL. Since 2014, LAHP offers up to 80 AHRC studentships each year to research students in the arts and humanities studying at one of the three institutions over the next seven years. The 2015 LAHP studentship competition opened for applications on 1 December 2014, and the closing date is Friday 30 January 2015. Studentship candidates are advised to apply for a place to study well in advance of the closing deadline for LAHP studentship applications to ensure that they have the opportunity to consult with proposed supervisors in preparing the LAHP studentship application form. It is suggested that candidates make their applications for a place to study in the School by 16 January 2015.
