Secondary Education (Mathematics)
This course is designed to develop subject knowledge in chemistry to enable successful participants to broaden and deepen their academic knowledge so that they can progress to an Initial Teacher Education Programme (PGCE, GTP or SCITT); as well as giving the opportunity for participants to develop and review their subject knowledge within an educational context (school placement); the course consists of taught sessions, practical and investigative sessions, seminars, presentations, school visits and placements and extramural activities.
A minimum 2.2 Honours degree is required; an A-level or equivalent in mathematics as well as English language or mathematics GCSE or equivalent.
Assessment is by examination and coursework.
