Applicants should normally have a good honours degree (2.1 or above) in a relevant humanities subject.

Course modules

Core courses: town and country; class and community; options (2 for MA, 4 for MLitt): art and artefact; culture and context; faith and truth; gender and race; plus: methodological workshops on research training; Victorian forum meetings; assessed essays, course papers, dissertation (MA: 10,000 words; MLitt: 15,000 words); opportunity to transfer to Victorian Studies, PhD.
