Global Health

This course equips those working in the health sector with the knowledge and skills to critically reflect on health and health care in low and middle income settings and apply this knowledge with supported practical experience within our international capacity building partnerships.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 BSc/BA Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.

Course modules

Modules include: Global burden of disease; health systems and policy; poverty and international development; research methodology in global health; security and development; global health with conflict and security; disasters and development; community, vulnerability and disaster risk; global health with disasters and adaptation.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a combination of essays, presentations and exams.
