Family Therapy

This programme is for professionals working in a mental health setting, including: nurses, GPs, paediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists who wish to complete an intermediate level programme in family therapy, or those who aim to incorporate systemic work in existing clinical practice.

Entry requirements

A relevant degree and/or relevant professional training and experience in clinical or similar setting.

Course modules

Modules include: Clinical practice; personal and professional development; systemic practice with families and couples; plus optional modules.

Assessment methods

Assessment is through written assignments, examination and ongoing formative assessment of practice.

Sponsorship information

Some students from the South London and Maudsley and Oxleas NHS Trusts are funded through contracts; no scholarships are provided by the programme; most full-time students are self-funded, funded by their NHS/HSE employer or receive external scholarships.
