Clinical Forensic Psychology

Students on this course explore the role of clinical psychologists working with mentally ill offenders; the emphasis is on evidence-based and reflective practice, and there is clinical and research training from a multidisciplinary team; the course provides a 1st step towards chartered forensic or clinical psychology training, and has a 2-day-per-week placement in a clinical forensic setting.

Entry requirements

Graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC) with the British psychological society (BPS); psychology Honours degree ( 2.1 or above); a minimum of 1 year's clinical or forensic experience; students who are applying from outside the UK, or who do not have a BPS accredited degree in psychology, must check with the BPS to see if they qualify for GBC; to apply for GBC, download the form at www.bps.org.uk.
