Medical Engineering and Physics

This course offers in-depth instruction on physiological, analytical and fundamental aspects of the field.

Entry requirements

A minimum 2.1 Honours degree in a physical or engineering science or equivalent, or an overseas equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: Healthcare science and research methods; introduction to medical physics; introduction to clinical engineering; radiation physics for imaging and radiotherapy; biomechanical and clinical measurements; plus optional modules.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by written examinations, coursework and project dissertation.

Sponsorship information

The London NHS Region provides funding for a limited number of trainee clinical scientists (through a separate NHS application).
