Managing Healthcare Education
This programme is designed to allow students to deepen or to broaden both their academic knowledge and practical skills related to managing healthcare education as an academic subject and to assist your development as a healthcare education management professional. It has also been designed for those who are working, or aspire to work, within the field of healthcare education. This programme is designed to maximise students' intellectual potential while additionally drawing on the real-world experiences of practitioners. They gain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the socio-cultural, economic and political factors that may influence the organisational structure of the NHS and the management of healthcare education. They also gain advanced knowledge and skills associated with financial management, business planning, human resource management, leadership and team development in the management of healthcare education.
Good relevant degree required.
Modules may include: healthcare education in the NHS; financial flows and budget management; business planning in healthcare education management; self and team development.
Assessment includes the development of a business case to support a funding bid for a healthcare education initiative.
