This course provides advanced study of the classical world, with focus on Greek and Latin language and literature.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree (2.1 or above) in classics, classical studies, ancient history, classical archaeology or a closely related subject, or an overseas equivalent; candidates should be able to use authors and sources in 1 or more relevant ancient languages.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by coursework and/or examinations. The 10,000 word dissertation enables students to research a topic of their choice, working one-to-one with an academic supervisor.
