Computing in Education
This course will make students aware of significant current developments and of contemporary pedagogical practices both in computing in education and in enabling Technology Enhanced Learning. Those who teach computing as a subject can select modules that update their understanding of recent curricula and develop their pedagogical thinking. A flexible subject knowledge enhancement programme will run in parallel for ICT teachers who need to upgrade their subject knowledge for teaching new computing curricula.
A 2:1 undergraduate degree (or international equivalent), in addition to a PGCE (or equivalent). Lower undergraduate grades will be considered in exceptional circumstances. Although teaching experience is highly recommended (especially when related to the subject focus of the MA you are applying for), candidates with appropriate academic qualifications are invited to apply.
