This course is for students intending to go on to research or composition at doctoral level, or wishing to build upon their existing skills. To provide training beyond undergraduate level in current techniques of music research and composition. To nurture leaders in musicology, ethnomusicology and composition.
An Honours degree (2.1 or above) in music, or equivalent from overseas students; USA: minimum 3.3 GPA overall, with higher result expected in music; applicants with equivalent qualifications or experience are seriously considered; applicants must submit a sample of recent work in musicology or composition, and must clearly specify which pathway is to be followed.
