The University is based in Kingston upon Thames, a bustling riverside town on the borders of London and Surrey.
The University dates back over 100 years to 1899, with the opening of the Kingston Technical Institute. The institute offered courses ranging from Chemistry, Electric Wiring and Building Construction to Nursing, Dressmaking and Clay Modelling. Today, the University has four campuses: 'Penrhyn Road' is the centre of student activity in Kingston and 'Kingston Hill' is a modern hillside campus. 'Knights Park' presents a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in a riverside setting whilst 'Roehampton Vale' is a modern building, close to Richmond Park.
