Professional Practice in Architecture
Applicants must have: ARB/RIBA Part 2 or exemption from it; a minimum of 13 months of approved, logged experience, preferably in the UK; support from your employer; a good level of written and spoken English. If you have completed your architectural education outside the UK, you will need to satisfy the Architects Registration Board (ARB) that your academic qualifications are the equivalent of ARB Part 2, before being admitted to the course. All non-UK applicants require academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with special conditions in all elements. Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.
Modules include: Work-based professional experience; the context of architecture; the management of architecture; business management and administration; the management of construction; integrative project; work-based professional experience based on part 1 experience.
Assessment is through a critical evaluation of your professional experience, including specific case studies; professional interview; scenario-based papers; group assignments.
