An Honours degree and evidence of a range of experience in either architectural practice or an allied design or construction environment; ARB/RIBA Part 2 or equivalent is preferred; interview and portfolio; applicants whose 1st language is not English require Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall.
Modules include: Research contexts for architecture; design research (context); design research (process); MArch (design) thesis (design resolution); material research; MArch (design) thesis (environmental integration); MArch (design) thesis project. Optional modules: computing for design; history and theory; philosophy and critique; context of sustainability; conservation and heritage; material resolution; design control and management; sustainable cities; landscape and urbanism theory; applying technology; live project.
Assessment is by design coursework plus a design thesis.
