Fashion and the Creative Economy
The course introduces students to the UK fashion industry and broadens understanding in terms of the relationship between the design, production, mediation, distribution and consumption of fashion.
A 2nd Class degree or above in a relevant area; 2 years' work experience in the creative industries; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS of 6.5 overall with a minimum score of 5.5 in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Modules include: Design thinking and entrepreneurship in practice; managing creativity and innovation; leadership in the creative economy; contemporary issues in the creative economy; contextualising fashion I; contextualising fashion II; personal research project.
Assessment includes essays, case studies, reports and presentations, plus the final personal research project.
