Philosophy and Political Economy
This course explores the disciplines of philosophy, politics and economics and integrating them into a co-ordinated and multi-faceted programme.
A 2.1 Honours degree. Applicants whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with special conditions in all elements.
Modules include: Critique, practice, power; international political economy: capitalism, imperialism and the state; political economy: effective demand, exploitation and crisis; dissertation; art theory: modernism, avant-garde, contemporary; Freud and Lacan; german critical theory; plasticity and form; recent french philosophy ; recent italian philosophy; topics in modern european philosophy.
Essays, presentations, exams, reports and a dissertation.
