Leadership and Management in Health
This course is specifically designed to meet the needs of those in the health and social care services in the public, private and voluntary sectors in both the UK and internationally. It is suitable for practising clinicians and health service managers who want to step up to the next level, and those who wish to move into this sector.
An Honours degree in a relevant discipline (normally, health and social sciences) or equivalent; or at least 4 years� experience in middle/senior management; interview; applicants whose 1st language is not English need IELTS of 6.5 overall with no element below 6.0; at least a Postgraduate Diploma in leadership and management in health is required for the MSc top up route.
Modules include: Strategic health management and governance in context; leading and managing people in health; managing information in health; managing health services for quality; financial resource management in health; health services marketing; organisational change in health; international health policy; health economics.
Assessment methods include individual and group exercises, computer-based tasks, presentations, role plays, case studies and written reports.
