Primary Teaching (Physical Education Specialist)

This course provides a challenging and rewarding programme that will enable students to qualify as primary teachers (Key Stage 1 and 2) or Foundation Stage/Key Stage 1 in 1 year. Students also receive the award of PGCE with 60 credits towards a Master's degree. School experience in our excellent range of partnership schools enables students to put theory to practice.

Entry requirements

A 1st degree in a relevant subject.

Course modules

Core national curriculum areas: English, mathematics and science; the creative practitioner covering broader subjects: art, design technology, educational technologies, history, geography, expressive arts, physical education and religious education; early years specialism ; foreign language specialism; research-informed curriculum leadership/subject specialism; the reflective professional; school experience (24 weeks).

Written assignments, school experience placements.
