Engineering Projects and Systems Management
This course enables students to gain key engineering management skills as well as competent project management knowledge; throughout the course, academic teaching is complemented by specialist speakers from industry, in addition students will have opportunities to visit engineering companies and attend technical seminars, both within and outside the University.
An Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline; suitable industrial experience; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in reading, listening and speaking.
Modules include: Finance resource management; industrial systems and management; industrial project management; total quality; systems modelling and simulation; business resources management; research project. Optional modules: information systems; e-engineering with internet applications; mechatronics and automation systems; integrated CAD/CAM systems.
Assessment methods include coursework and/or exams; research project.
