Software Engineering with Management Studies
This course will help students gain an in-depth understanding of the tools and web technologies necessary for business application design and development. They learn to specify and design identity management and security requirements for web services, and apply appropriate tools and techniques to design an e-business architecture. The ethical, legal and professional issues in the development of web business applications are also looked at. Students also learn how to design and develop products and services delivered over the internet that support business objectives and add value to an organisation. Following the 'with management studies' route, students learn the fundamentals of marketing, finance and/or managing people and organisations, which will set their technical knowledge in a management context.
An Honours degree or equivalent in information systems, information technology or substantial work experience in an information technology and software engineering environment; where English is not the applicant's 1st language an IELTS score of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in reading, listening and speaking is required.
