User Experience Design

This course will equip you with the behavioural theory, design practice and technology know-how that is necessary for a career as interaction designer, usability engineer, user researcher, or head of user experience. It focuses upon the analysis, design, prototyping and evaluation of multimedia, multi-modal, and multi-platform user interfaces that are easy to use and support a great user experience

Entry requirements

Applicants require a BA (Hons) degree in a field relevant to creative production, the humanities or business; or relevant work experience for at least 5 years in lieu of a degree; experience in digital media; portfolio; applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5.

Course modules

Modules include: Digital interdisciplinary practice; digital content production processes; experience design 1; experience design 2; user factors; usability engineering. Options include: e-technologies; e-business; introduction to programming with java; agile development; craft project; live project; projects and risk management; requirements engineering and management.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by essays, presentations, research dissertations, user interfaces.
