Pharmacy Practice (Overseas Pharmacists Assessment Programme)
This course provides theoretical and practical training in key topics relevant to practice in Great Britain. The conversion course is designed to enable overseas-trained pharmacists (non-EU and who are not covered by Directive 2005/36/EC) to become familiar with the practice of pharmacy in the UK. Students receive training in in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice, and pharmacy law and practice.
Applicants must have been approved for entry to the course by the pharmacy regulator; and demonstrate proficiency in English language through IELTS testing at level 7.0 in each category at a single test.
Modules include: Biopharmaceutics and pharmacokinetics; introduction to professional pharmacy practice in UK; provision of care to patients; applied pharmacology; biotechnology and advanced drug delivery; clinical pharmacy; application of evidence to practice; professional pharmacy practice.
