Educational Research (Independent Study)
We welcome applications for research degrees (PhD or MPhil) in any area of education in which our staff have expertise. Students work independently with an appropriate supervisor in face-to-face meetings at Lancaster or at a distance. Most students commence in October in order to make use of the Facultys research training courses but we are able to be flexible over start dates.
A good Honours degree and preferably a Master's degree, or its equivalent, and a viable research proposal. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in each individual component (or equivalent).
Assessment is based on original research and thesis.
