E-Research and Technology Enhanced Learning

This programme combines residential teaching with online learning for motivated, self-managing individuals who work in positions of influence in any sector of education wishing to develop their e-learning research and practice. Participants receive structured support in research methodologies and practice and undertake small-scale studies related to their professional environments. This is followed by a period of intensive individual research supervised by an expert in the field. Participants benefit from a structured set of modules (over 2 years), residential events, and an online learning community through which they receive support from other participants and tutors.

Entry requirements

A good Honours degree, or its equivalent, and Master's degree or 3 years' practical experience working in learning and technology. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum 6.0 in reading and writing) or equivalent.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a combination of assessed coursework and thesis.
