Contemporary Arts Consultancy
This is a professionally focused programme for graduates wishing to work in the cultural and creative industries. It is oriented around a �live� consultancy project with an external organisation where you will take responsibility for a consultancy-based project. The project will help resolve practical issues and problems faced by a client organisation from the creative industries and the cultural and heritage sectors. Typically client involvement is 1-2 days a week over 4 months, with lectures scheduled on 1-2 days a week to allow flexibility to carry out project work. Students complete 4 modules, a consultancy project report, and a dissertation.
An upper 2nd Class Honours degree, or its equivalent, or professional qualifications/experience. For students whose 1st language is not English an IELTS score 6.5 score (minimum of 6.0 in each element), or equivalent qualification.
Modules include: Critical thinking; research theory and methods; contemporary issues in the arts and creative sector; consultancy skills and practice; creative industries placement; dissertation.
Assessment is based on a combination of coursework (including project proposal, project methodology/design, client project report) and dissertation.
