International Human Rights and Terrorism Law

This programme provides a bridge from undergraduate level studies (or equivalent professional experience) to research, focusing on a distinct although relatively broad specialism. The core modules, combined with appropriate optional modules, lay a foundation in the basics of international human rights, and the law relating to terrorism. The coursework requirements will develop research skills, and lay the basis for a substantial dissertation. Graduates completing the programme are equipped to engage in more specialised practical or academic research in this field. This scheme offers two optional pathways, the programme of which will be confirmed by the student at registration: Studying 5 modules with a 20,000-word dissertation; studying 6 modules with a 15,000-word dissertation.

Entry requirements

A good 2nd Class Honours degree, in an appropriate discipline. Students whose 1st language is not English will require evidence of proficiency in the English language: IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.
