Politics and Philosophy

This interdisciplinary programme is designed to allow students to undertake sustained and focused study in the disciplines of politics and philosophy.

Entry requirements

An upper 2nd Class Honours degree, or its equivalent. Relevant professional qualifications and experience will also be considered. For international students: IELTS 6.5 score, or equivalent qualification.

Course modules

Modules: Major approaches to the study of international relations; what is philosophy? Methods, aims, debates; theory and method in postgraduate studies; dissertation (20,000 words).

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on coursework and a dissertation.
