Diplomacy and International Law (distance learning)

Building on the campus-based programme, this course offers convenience and flexibility in terms of study time and location. The programme is designed to introduce students to the fields of diplomacy and international law.

Entry requirements

An upper 2nd Class Honours degree, or its equivalent. Relevant professional qualifications and experience will also be considered.Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Compulsory modules: International law; issues and practice in diplomacy and foreign policy; theory and concepts in diplomacy and foreign policy; theory and methods in postgraduate studies; dissertation (PPR or Law). Option module: International human rights law or law of international organisations.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on coursework (participation in weekly learning activities and a 5,000-word essay) and a dissertation.
