Child Welfare Practice

This programme aims to that enable you to enhance both your theoretical knowledge and skills base in child welfare practice. The course will introduce you to the very latest research for practice including child care and safeguarding discussions, new practice skills (especially in emerging technologies), best practice sharing, and knowledge exchange with service users. Upon successful completion of the certificate you can choose to progress to the Master's in child welfare.

Entry requirements

Undergraduate degree, or significant practical experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules may include: Advances in child protection; strengths based approaches in child welfare; child welfare and social pedagogy.

Assessment methods

Assessment is via assignments.
