Students will be assigned PhD supervisors whose research interests match their chosen research topic. Students on this PhD enjoy close links with the Centre for the Study of Environmental Change, Lancaster Environment Centre and the Centre for Science Studies.

Entry requirements

An upper 2nd Class Honours degree, or its equivalent, in a relevant subject, including sociology, geography, philosophy, politics, linguistics, anthropology, science or engineering, and a viable research proposal.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on original research and thesis.
