Advanced Financial Analysis

This programme is designed to give you the specialist knowledge and skills that you will need for a career in investment management or financial analysis and to help you acquire the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 qualification. The programme consists of 2 core elements; the 1st comprises 8 taught modules, spread over the 1st and 2nd terms. These modules are designed to cover the material you will need for the core CFA syllabus relating to investments and financial analysis; the 2nd element of the programme is a specialist CFA dissertation stream which includes intensive CFA training preparing for the CFA Level 2 exam and a dissertation project focusing on investment management. A number of programme activities take place in London.

Entry requirements

An upper 2nd Class Honours degree, or its equivalent, in finance, accounting, economics, business studies, mathematics or another quantitative subject, and chartered financial analysis (CFA) level 1 qualification. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 or equivalent.

Course modules

Core modules: Fund management; financial modelling and analysis; personal development for careers in finance; programming and databases for financial applications; regulation and compliance.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include coursework, examination and dissertation.
