This programme offers a curriculum, blending academic studies, company projects and cultural experiences. Drawing from internationally recognised faculties from across the University, this unique MSc offers ambitious UK/EU and overseas students the opportunity to work on high impact collaborative projects with companies both in the UK and China. Over 24 months, students cover a range of general and specialist courses chosen from 6 distinct pathways, supplemented by language, cultural and business seminars, resulting in a rich and distinctive learning experience. This programme offers 6 distinct academic pathways and students choose from 1 of these pathways depending on their entry route to the programme. Pathways include: Entrepreneurship; environmental science; engineering; computer science; telecommunications; design.

Entry requirements

An upper 2nd Class Honours degree, or its equivalent in a relevant subject. Work experience preferred, not essential. Students whose 1st language is not English must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language (IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent).

Course modules

Modules include: Specialist pathway modules; integrative multi-disciplinary modules in design, entrepreneurship and technology; UK company project; China company project; Chinese language and culture or equivalent for Chinese speakers.

Assessment methods

Assessment for the taught modules includes coursework assignments (individual or group) and final exams. The UK and China company projects are assessed by means of project report and dissertation.
