International Innovation (Entrepreneurship)
This programme offers a ground-breaking curriculum, blending academic studies, company projects with UK and Chinese business and cultural experiences. A substantial bursary is available and students can join 1 of 6 specialist pathways including entrepreneurship. On the Entrepreneurship pathway students will: receive a tax-free bursary (tuition fees still apply); gain in-depth studies in entrepreneurship and foundation-level studies in design and technology; study Chinese language and culture (or equivalent for Chinese speakers); undertake 2 substantial collaborative projects, one with a UK business and one based in China; participate in business and cultural seminars; support development of new products/services, processes and business models for international markets; finish in a strong position to enter a competitive job market in the UK and China.
A degree, typically in a business or management discipline or with a substantial element of those subjects. Where English is not the native language/language of instruction: IELTS: Normally 7.00 (with a minimum of 6.00 in each component) or equivalent TOEFL.
Subject areas include: corporate entrepreneurship; design driven innovation; family enterprise management; innovation in practice; new venture creation. Alternative pathways available are: computer science; design; engineering; environmental science; telecommunications.
Assessment is via a combination of coursework and/or examination, project work and dissertation.
