Food Challenges for the Twenty-First Century
This PgCert provides an opportunity for flexible and accessible postgraduate learning and professional development, for those who are unable to commit to full-time study. It is delivered by blended learning, which consists largely of online material to allow flexible working, together with short residential schools.
Professional experience of working in the food chain. We recognise prior learning and experience, and you do not necessarily need a degree to apply.
Modules on offer include: consumers and retailing; crop production and supply; economics and logistics of the food chain; food quality, nutrition and food safety, post-harvest management; food security: the impending storm; food waste, supply chain management and consumer behaviour; pests and diseases, pest management and pesticides; soils, natural capital and sustainable resource management.
