Architecture

This is a creative, research based course with a commitment to design studio learning, which allows students to qualify as a practicing architect. The key themes of the course are integrated sustainability and post-industrial urbanism.

Entry requirements

Applicants should either have at least a 2nd Class Honours degree in the cognate subject of architecture from an ARB/RIBA accredited Part 1 course or at least a 2nd class honours degree in architecture from a non ARB/RIBA part 1 course and work experience or at least a 2nd Class Honours degree in architecture from a non ARB/RIBA part 1 course with part 1 awarded through the ARB Assessment Panel and work experience.

Course modules

Context studies (40 credits); design studio (40 credits); design studio 2 (30 credits); design studio 3 (30 credits); design studio 4 (30 credits); integrated design (20 credits); professional studies (10 credits); technology (40 credits).
