This is a studio-based course that allows a design specialism within architecture. This course uses a research-by-design approach in a studio environment, in order to help to develop a specialism and research-based study.

Entry requirements

Applicants should either have at least a 2nd Class Honours degree in the cognate subjects of architecture, landscape architecture, planning or interior design, at least a 2nd Class Honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.

Course modules

Design studio 3 (60 credits); design studio 1 (20 credits); critical contexts (40 credits); design studio 2 (40 credits); research methods: theory and practice (20 credits).
