This course offers a practical and theoretical experience in the creative and innovative applications of music technology in a studio environment. Students explore the technical and creative skills of recording, arranging, mixing and mastering to develop a wide range of commercial and non-commercial musical scores. Students have access to a suite of high quality, professional music studios, approved by JAMES, the accrediting body of the Music Producers' Guild and the Association of Professional Recording Services.
Applicants should either have at least a 2nd Class Honours degree in the cognate subjects of music, music production or audio technology, at least a 2nd Class Honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for, or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.
