Performance

This is a course designed by practitioners for practitioners. It gives students the opportunity to make new theatre, dance, digital and live performance work.

Entry requirements

Applicants should either have at least a 2nd Class Honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment of arts or cultural industries. All suitable candidates will be required to attend an interview, during which they will be required to present their current interests and practices in the subject area. Candidates based overseas will be supported to undertake this electronically and/or by telephone.

Year 1 core modules: performance strategies 1; performance strategies 2;critical contexts 1;critical contexts 2;performance cultures 1: wider perspectives; performance cultures 2: identity. Year 2 core modules: performance project 1: ensemble; performance project 2: collaboration; performance project 3: self; critical contexts 3; critical contexts 4;professional practice 1: event. Year 3 core modules: professional practice 2: placement; pilot project; publishing project 1: conference; publishing project 2: document; lift off project 1: process; lift off project 2: festival.
