International Business Law

This course relates to commercial activities in a global economy. You will examine complementary law and business issues which affect international business practice and we will provide you with legal expertise informed by commercial awareness which is essential in the current global business environment. With the inclusion of European law topics alongside the study of international law, you will examine how law influences the development of supranational markets built up from a number of independent states. The European Union modules provide a basis for exploring the legal regulation of free trade throughout the world.

Entry requirements

A 2:2 honours degree in a related subject or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. IELTS: 6.5 with no skill below 5.5 (or equivalent).

Course modules

Modules include: Public international trade law; private international trade law; law of the EU's internal market; EU antitrust law; dissertation. Option modules: contemporary marketing; intellectual property law; management; people and organisations; strategic management of international enterprises; internet law.
