International Events Management
Providing a sound theoretical underpinning of the cultural, political, ethical and economic aspects of international events management, this course offers the practical and strategic understanding required to run international events effectively. Students gain a thorough grounding in key aspects of international events management. This course is suitable for students that want to enter the events profession as a manager or if have events experience and want to enhance their event knowledge in an international context either in the UK or overseas.
The course is open to students who have an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject (possibly with events industry experience) and have a desire to study international event phenomena at a higher strategic and academic level; also open to professionals working within the event sector who wish to develop their senior management and international event careers and who aspire to make a progressive and ethical contribution to the industry at policy and strategy levels; whilst applicants with other suitable qualifications and (or) appropriate events experience will be considered and are encouraged to apply; international students will additionally need to meet the course's English language requirement which is IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 6.0 or equivalent.
