Sport Coaching

With an active passion for coaching, this course allows students to focus on specific areas that interest them. Students will be able to direct their learning towards their chosen coaching career goal from the very beginning, matching learning and assessment to the demands of coaching.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to be practising coaches or coach educators with an evidenced history of engagement in coaching or coach education; it is expected that coaches will be involved in face to face delivery of at least 5 hours per week with a commitment to match this time with planning and/or reflecting activities; coach educators will normally be expected to be involved in delivering and/or assessing coach education to a minimum of 150 hours per year with a commitment to match this time with planning and reflecting activities; applications from graduates with relevant experience are accepted; typically we would expect applicants to hold degrees in a sport-related area, however, given the breadth of knowledge required in coaching we are happy to talk with potential applicants about the relevance of their degree to this MSc; applicants from all sectors of community are welcome.
