Community Specialist Practitioner (District Nursing)

This course will meet students' needs as a specialist practitioners, preparing them to use their discretion and judgement to make high-level clinical decisions in the management and provision of quality care. Students develop a co-ordinated and holistic approach to meet the healthcare needs of the wider community, meaning they can help improve and maximise their life chances.

Entry requirements

Relevant 1st degree; registered nurse with 2 years' post-registration experience.

Advanced health assessment core; professional development in practice; leadership, management and enterprise; building community capacity and public health; therapeutic relationships; understanding social research and evaluation; dissertation.
