Accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), the course is ideal if students are seeking to become professional counsellors or psychotherapists. It will help students work towards accreditation with the BACP, and will help them develop a specialist role within their current occupation.

Entry requirements

Students should hold an undergraduate degree and have achieved GCSE English language grade C or above. Applicants also need to demonstrate a level of emotional maturity and robustness to cope with the psychological demands of this course and also be open to learning about and reflecting on yourself and others.
