Leeds Beckett University
Health and Community Care
The course increases knowledge of health and community care practice, give students finely tuned time management and prioritisation skills, and develop an understanding of the complex issues at the forefront of their own specialist area. The course incorporates a variety of modules that meet the needs of a wide range of health and community care environments. High emphasis is placed on self-directed and lifelong learning, and students are given personal support to plan and organise an individualised programme of study.
Applicants should either have at least a 2nd Class Honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.
