Primary Education (5-11 with Physical Education Specialism)
This is a professionally oriented programme that enables students to engage with a wide range of educational issues. It is designed to develop the teaching and learning role through reflective practice. The programme aims to provide additional opportunities to enhance understanding of the teaching of Physical Education in the primary school and a strong focus on the understanding of progression in learning within this subject area.
2.2 Honours degree or above. GCSEs in English language, mathematics and science at grade C or above. Satisfactory medical and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
The course consists of professional studies, curriculum understanding for all related subjects, and additional focus on the subject of Physical Education. Weekly serial visits to school and School based training blocks.
Assessment is through graded coursework assignments and school-based training. There are no examinations. Assessments are designed to enable you to critically reflect on practice.
