Business and Management

The programme aims to link the academic study of business and management with the complex and uncertain business environment faced by today's managers. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of a range of important business issues, and will develop a critical perspective of these areas, with the view to developing their business and managerial knowledge, skills and understanding. As part of an international cohort of students they will also gain experience of working in cross-cultural teams that will equip them for a management role in the global economy.

Entry requirements

A 1st Class or upper 2nd Class Honours degree. Applications from students who do not hold a 1st or 2.1 Honours degree (or equivalent) will be asked to demonstrate potential to achieve a Master's award via a sample of academic writing and interview before an offer is made.

Course modules

Modules include: Organisation behaviour and leadership; marketing management; human resource management; management strategy; managerial finance; global business ethics; operations management; human resource development; international organisation; global and economic development; knowledge management and development; international marketing; research methods; research dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessment is done individually; assessment methods vary but generally include essays, presentations and a dissertation.
