The results of the 2014 REF (Research Excellence Framework) demonstrated the world-leading quality of our research. LJMU was placed 61st, out of the 128 universities that submitted more than one unit of assessment, whilst every unit of assessment we submitted was rated as at least 45% internationally excellent.
