The course�s project work-based curriculum enables you to gain valuable transferable skills in research, analysis and interpretation, the generation and testing of ideas, visual and verbal presentation techniques, teamwork and initiative which are of lifelong value.
Applicants should have completed a first degree (minimum award 2.2) in Architecture. Assessment of suitability to the course may also be undertaken by review of a portfolio of work and an interview. Overseas applicants whose first language is not English are required to have attained a recognised English Language qualification equivalent to IELTS 6.5 (minimun of 5.5 in each component).
Semester 1: Theory; design studies; computer-aided design workshops; management, practice and law. Semester 2: Specialist study; design studies; computer-aided design workshops; management, practice and law; building; case studies. Semester 3: Urban design project and CDP brief development; theory; best practice studies; management, practice and law. Semester 4: Comprehensive design project; technical workshops; management, practice and law.
