Please see guidance below on core and option modules for further information on what you will study. • Planning Training in Sport and Exercise Psychology Introduces the core elements of the Professional Doctorate training programme and requires you to plan your training. • Sport and Exercise Psychology Professional Practice The relevant 'Stage 2' practitioner competences are developed and demonstrated in this module. • Reflection in Sport and Exercise Psychology Requires you to reflect and meta-reflect on your training across the Stage 2 competencies. Modules are designated as core or option in accordance with professional body requirements and internal Academic Framework review, so may be subject to change. Various assessment methods are used, including a log and diary of professional practice, case studies and reflections on each competence and a viva voce examination at the end. In terms of research, you will be expected to produce a number of publishable papers and submit them to peer-reviewed journals. After completing this course you should be able to demonstrate self-direction and originality in tackling and solving problems, and act autonomously in planning and implementing tasks at a professional level.
