Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)
In September 2009, it became law for every new SENCO in a mainstream school to gain the Masters-level National Award for Special Educational Needs Co-ordination within 3 years of taking up the post. This programme covers the latest research, policy and guidance and develops your key skills in SEN practice.
You will need: An Honours degree (minimum 2.2) or recognised equivalent; a Certificate in Education (post 16) with appropriate professional experience; all offers are conditional on applicants securing satisfactory enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and health checks.
