Advanced Healthcare Practice (Clinical)
Tailoring the Advanced Practice Programme to the NHS workforce and its development needs, promotes the diversity of practitioners required by a modern, dependable, world-class NHS. A multi-professional, flexible and innovative programme, the Advanced Healthcare Practice course enables specialist routes to connect with clinical, education and mental health areas. Other specialist routes may be added in the future. Please note: To be awarded the full MSc in Advanced Healthcare Practice, you will need to achieve 180 credits. Students who achieve 120 credits or 60 credits will be awarded a PgDip or PgCert respectively.
You will need evidence of study, at Level 6, within your specialist area/health care profession. You will also need to attend an interview before your place is confirmed. Application and selection.
Core modules: dissertation; research; methodology, methods and data analysis. optional modules: advanced health care practice; curriculum design for learning in practice settings; ethical and legal issues within advanced practice; frameworks for learning and teaching in the practice environment; advancing leadership through action learning; negotiated work-based learning project 1; independent post graduate learning; pathophysiology advanced practice; clinical diagnostics; art and science of practice education.
